Acorn House offers 27 single rooms of which 19 are en-suite. The communal rooms in the home include the lively main lounge (where most of the socialising takes place), the more peaceful library lounge and the all-important dining room, all on the ground floor. There’s an assisted bathroom on the ground floor, two on the first floor and one in the annexe. There are also plenty of toilets with 4 on the ground floor, 3 on the first floor and 1 in the annexe.
Acorn House has a passenger lift for those that are unable or prefer not to use the stairs.
There is a conservatory which doubles as our hair salon and barber shop in the annexe and this links Acorn House and Acorn Lodge. The laundry and kitchen are situated on the ground floor well away from the sleeping accommodation. The manager’s office is on the ground floor close to the front door with a second office on the ground floor close to the lounges.
